Some Common Questions
Q1: I am in my 2nd year Commerce and I have not taken any Computer Science courses. What should I do?

A: Please note that none of the Computer Science courses are required courses for the MIS option. We strongly recommend them for an information technology career because they are important for positions such as systems analyst and database administrator. One way to incorporate Computer Science courses into your program is to take CPSC 111 and 211 during your third year, take CPSC 121 and 213 during your fourth year, and take the CPSC 310 at a later time (e.g., as part of your job training). Alternatively, you can take Comm 337 and 432 in your third and fourth year.
