| Some Common Questions |
| Q1: I am already in my third year Commerce and I have not taken any Computer Science courses. What should I do?
A: Please note that none of the Computer Science courses are required courses for the MIS option. We strongly recommend them for an information technology career because they are important for positions such as systems analyst and database administrator. One way to incorporate Computer Science courses into your program is to take CPSC 111 and 211 (or Comm 337 and 432) during your fourth year, and take the remaining at a later time (e.g., as part of your job training).
Q2: I discover the MIS option late and I am taking Comm 391 in my 3rd year, 2nd term, am I too late to join the MIS option?
A: No, you can take all five required MIS courses in your 4th year and still be able to graduate with a MIS option degree. |
