Dr. Goldstein is interested in data management, artificial intelligence,
computer support of groups and social issues. His work on knowledge-based
systems for database design and on common sense reasoning for expert systems
spans the first two of these ar
eas. His group support research focuses on knowledge-based facilitation.
Professor Goldstein is also interested in computer-privacy issues and in the
business and social implications of the "Information Superhighway".
