Brief Biography
Motivated by the potential for information systems to help individuals and organizations, his research program is comprised of two major streams:
In addition, he has a third parallel stream that examines ways to improve research practices in his discipline (helping researchers develop and use more sophisticated theories and research methods). He is an active member of the research community, regularly reviewing papers for journals, conferences, and granting agencies, and serving on the editorial boards of several journals. He has also received several awards for his research, teaching, and service. Prior to his academic career, Andrew was a senior consultant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, consulting to large organizations on IT security, project management, and systems implementation. He has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at the University of British Columbia, Georgia State University, and the University of Queensland. His teaching specialties include systems analysis and design, database systems, IT auditing, and internal controls.
